Vendor evaluation
The MACH Alliance is an industry association comprised of vendors and system integrators utilizing the MACH principles: (microservices, API-first, cloud-native SaaS, headless) as the design principles behind modern enterprise technology.
I am currently engaged to assist with technical evaluations for prospective members, as well as working on various workstreams centered around Interoperability.
SAP is one of the largest software companies in the world – I came to work on the marketing technology team after the acquisition of BusinessObjects, where I was the web development and CMS platform lead.
During my time there, I was involved the selection in proof-of-concept phases for a number of CMS projects, including the new platform for BusinessObjects (replacing Interwoven Teamsite) as well as within SAP, evaluating Alfresco, Sitecore, and Adobe Experience Manager (among others).
Product Strategy
Optimizely is a market leader in the marketing technology space with products covering all aspects of digital experience – particularly around content creation and experimentation.
At Optimizely, I was responsible for the Content Cloud product strategy, and was heavily involved in the technical and market due diligence and positioning around the Welcome Software (Content Marketing Platform) acquisition.
Sitecore is a market leader in the marketing technology space with an emphasis on entering the composable SaaS space with a series of recent cloud acquisitions.
At Sitecore I was responsible for product strategy, and was heavily involved in the technical and market due diligence of Stylelabs and subsequent development of the Content Marketing Platform offering (now known as Content Hub Operations)
Thought Leadership
Uniform is a Series-A Insight Ventures-backed startup in the new category of Digital Experience Composition (DXC). By producing resources such as the CMS Evaluation guide, Uniform was able to gain attention within the larger marketing technology landscape and encourage customers to look at digital experience composition as a means of assisting with migrations and evaluations of other fundamental technology.
At Uniform, I worked on Product Strategy and Advocacy producing resources and webinars such as:
Contentful is a market leader within the (fairly new) headless content management domain. As such, they have a differentiated approach compared to coupled systems of the past. As a result, a great deal of education and advocacy is necessary to communicate the advantages and organizational changed needed to support headless and composable approaches.
At Contentful, I worked on a number of initiatives such as webinars, blogs and sales enablement material around modern organizational approaches and structured content practices.
